Biographical Note for DUBOISIA

Du·bois \d(y)üb-ˈwä, du̅e̅-bwȧ\ , François Noel Alexandre (1752–1824), French botanist. Dubois was a prolific writer of botanical works, none of which have proved to be of lasting significance. The genus Duboisia was named in his honor in 1810 by the British botanist Robert Brown (1773–1858).
